Super Soccer Sunday
This Sunday, July 13, sees TSF Academy host 9 Super Y-League games all being played at Camp Dawson in Montville, NJ – 4 games featuring TSF v PDA at various age-groups on the boys side, and 5 games on the girls side – three TSF v Matchfit, along with a game against Brooklyn Knights and one against NJ Rangers.
Being dubbed “Super Sunday” the day kicks off at 10:30am when the U13 Girls team plays Matchfit Academy, while on field #2, the U13 Boys, currently in first place in their flight, play second placed PDA.
“The boys have had a great start to the season” Head Coach Andy Meaney said “and we are looking forward to this game. It will be well contested and an exciting game to watch.” The U14G v Matchfit and the U14B v PDA take the fields at 12:30pm. At 2:30pm the U15B play PDA, while the U16G face Brooklyn Knights. Two hours later at 4:30pm the final Boys game of the day kicks-off when the U16B face PDA. Thirty minutes later, the U15G kick-off their game against Matchfit at 5pm. The last game of the day is at 6:30pm, when the U20 Women face local rivals NJ Rangers.
“It promises to be a great day of soccer,” Academy Director Mark White said. “We expect some very competitive games to be played, and we hope that our players and families will stay throughout the day to enjoy the soccer on display and to support all the TSF Academy teams.”

TSF Academy Celtic -U16 Boys reach the semi-finals at the Regionals

TSF Academy U16 boys Celtic, lost 3-1 in the semi-fianls at last weekend's Region 1 Championships in Maine. The team went on a great run and came up a litte short of reaching the finals. In their first game , the team played YMS (ranked #2 in the country) and tied 1-1. TSF had the lead going into the final 5 minutes. A deflected shot just went out of the reach of goalkeeper Jackson Klein to tie the game.
In their second game, TSF faced the New Hampshire State Champions and came away with a 6-0 win. It was a complete performance which was followed up by a 5-0 win against the Delaware State Champions. The team had scored 12 goals and conceded only 1 in the opening round.
In the semi-finals, TSF was matched up against the host state Maine. It was a very even game with both teams creating chances. Maine took the lead towards the end of the first half. The Celtic responded with some great play tying the game at 1-1 in the second half. With 12 minutes to go, Maine were awarded a controversial penalty. They converted the penalty to make the score 2-1. They added another goal in the final minute to make the score 3-1.
Overall , it was great weekend for the team. There were a number of outstanding performances on offence and defence. On offence, Casey McNamara scored 7 of the teams 13 goals, in 4 games.

TSF Academy U17Boys Fall in Finals of Potomac Memorial Tournament
TSF keeper, Adam Purdy, makes a valiant effort to save a penalty kick in the championship game at Potomac Memorial Day Tournament
The TSF U17Boys had another very good tournament this past Memorial Day Weekend.
In the first game of the weekend TSF beat PA CLASSICS 90 PREMIER (PA) #11 by the score of 2-1. TSF came back from a goal behind to win this game. In the second game TSF over come NASA 09 Elite (GA) #14 by the score of 2-1 and again the come back from a goal down. In the third group game the U17Boys beat NETHER PROVIDENCE AA ARAPPALOOSAS (PA) #4 by 2-1. Nether Providence are also PA state cup semi-finalists. In the semi-finals TSF beat Parsippany Utd (NJ) #10 by 3-1. In the finals TSF tied 2-2 with Mclean MPS 90 (VA) #1, after regulation and over-time. TSF came from 2-0 down to tie up the game. In the penalty kicks, TSF were beaten after missing 1 pk.
Next for the U17Boys is the SYL with 3 games in the next week.

TSF Academy U16 Boys Win at Potomac Memorial Tournament
The TSF Academy U16 Boys Celtic won for the second straight weekend. The boys followed up their State Cup win, by being crowned champions at the Potomac Memorial Tournament. The team had a good weekend playing 5 games, winning 4 and drawing 1.

Jersey Knights Fire vs. TSF Academy Celtic 0-2
The team faced the Jersey Knights Fire in the final and came away with a 2-0 win. The team will now turn its focus on the Super Y league season, with critical games in the coming weeks as well as the Regionals in Maine at the end of June.

TSF Academy Celtic Win the State Cup in Style
The TSF Academy U16 boys beat Vineland 3-0 over the weekend to win the State Cup. The team went on an incredible run, scoring 15 goals while giving up zero goals.
In the first round, the team played against Lakewood Boca. This was a very hard fought game with the Celtics coming away with a 1-0 win. The game was capped by goalkeeper Ben Reuter, saving a penalty in the last minute of regulation to secure the win. In the second round they played the NJ Dynamo. This was their only home game during the Cup and they won 4-0. With each game the team grew in confidence.
The quarter finals had them matched up against the South Jersey Barons. In last years State Cup, the Barons knocked the team out in the quarter finals with the Barons winning 1-0. The team had the memory of last years game in the back of their minds. They had a very good game and came away with a 4-0 win, putting them into the semi-finals against the Jersey Knights.
In the semi-finals, the team came out a little nervous, giving up some early possession. As the game went on the boys settled down and started playing. In the end they came away with a 3-0 win and it was off to the finals to play Vineland.
The team saved its best for last. The finals was by far the best the team had played all through the run. The played with confidence and passion. They were not going to be beaten. When the final whistle went, they had a 3-0 win and the first State Cup Championship for TSF Academy.
Coach Huey Ferguson commented: "This was a complete team effort. Each player played a role in the teams success. I am very happy for them. They put in a lot of hard work during the winter months and it has paid off."
The team is now looking forward to the Regionals in Maine where they will represent not only TSF Academy, but the State of New Jersey. Their next challenge will come this Memorial Day Weekend at Potomac.

TSF Academy U17 Girls New Jersey Cup Champions!
TSF Academy U17 Girls became the first TSF Academy team to win the New Jersey Cup when they beat Wall Power 3-1 on penalty kicks in the US Club Soccer New Jersey Cup Championship game. The game finished
0-0 after full time forcing penalty kicks. Fortunately, TSF Academy scored 3
of there 4 penalties, while the Power had 3 of there penalties saved. It was
TSF Academy's second game of the day. TSF Academy beat Medford Rage 2-0 in
the semi final.

All 4 Boys Teams Advance to State Cup Semis.
TSF Academy U15 Boys, U16 Boys, U17 Boys, U18 Boys advance to the State Cup Semi-Finals.
This past weekend TSF Academy won all their quarter final games. In the first game of the day the U18 Boys defeated Manalapan Rough Riders on penalty kicks after the game finished 0-0. The game was marked by some wonderful goalkeepering by Doug Freeman and a great performance by John Roszkowski in the penalty shootouts. The U18Boys will take on NJ's top ranked Parsippany Revolution in the Semi-finals.
In the second game of the day the TSF Academy U15 Boys beat TBAA Hurricanes 2-0. This game was played in South Jersey and was achieved by a terrific all-round performance. The U15 Boys will play New Jersey's top ranked Red Bull in the Semi-Finals.
The third game of the day saw the U17 Boys come back from being a goal-down to win 2-1 at Parsippany Warriors. In the semi-finals, the U17Boys will play FC Copa.
The last game of the day the U16 Boys completely swept aside the South Jersey Barons with a resounding 4-0 victory. This display was the most convincing of the day and was very satisfing as SJB defeated the U16Boys in last year ' s State Cup at the quarter final stage. The U16Boys will face the Jersey Knights Fire in the semi's.
All the Semi-Finals will be played on May 17th in Bordentown. TSF Academy wishes all the teams good luck in the Semi-Finals.

TSF Academy U15, U16, U17, U18 Boys advance to the State Cup Quarter Finals.
On Sunday April 28th all four TSF Academy boys teams participating in the State Cup won their games to progress to the quarterfinals. In the first game of the afternoon, and the only away game, the U15Boys Panthers defeated the Hibernian Celtic 3-0. With this victory the Panthers will now take on TBAA Titans. The U16Boys Celtic, in a dominant display, overcame the NJ Dynamo Force 4-0 at Depaul Catholic on Sunday night. The Celtic will now take on either South Jersey Barons or Howell Strikers. The U17Boys Wildcats beat Parsippany Utd 4-1 with two goals in either half. The Wildcats will now take on Parisppany Warriors in the quarter finals. In the most exciting game of the afternoon the U18Boys Storm beat the Jersey Knights Lancers 5-4 in overtime. The Storm threw away a 3 goal lead to eventually score the winner in the last minute of overtime.
TSF Academy wishes all these teams good luck in the Quarter-Finals.
