The TSF Junior Academy allows young players to learn
of soccer in a fun but structured environment. The development of motor skills, creativity and
ball-manipulation are essential ingredients of the Junior Academy.
The game of soccer should be about creativity, intuitive play as well as
encouraging a love of the game. TSF Junior Academy will cultivate these
attributes, nurturing players natural ability, allowing them to be comfortable on the ball.
TSF Academy recognizes the importance of skill development in a progressive
and long term environment. The Junior Academy is an ongoing program that will
be offered throughout the year, aimed at young players who have a desire to
progress within the sport of soccer.
Critical to the development and nurturing of young soccer players is the education of correct
techniques at this early age. TSF Junior Academy focuses on repetition allowing these players to
learn the skills the right way.
During each session players will receive tuition on
fundamentals of soccer through a curriculum designed to
improve foot-skills and technical development with the final
segment of the session allowing the players to show creativity
and discovery in a scrimmage based game.
Participation in the Junior Academy is open to U6-U8 Boys & Girls – born between August 1, 2000
and July 31, 2003. Groups will meet once-a-week during each season.

At the end of each season, players may be invited to participate in the ‘Academy Medals’ program -
an individual player ball-manipulation curriculum with specific skill testing at each level. Academy
Medals focuses on a progressive training program with players moving through various levels at
the end of each season. The Academy Medals program is designed to prepare players for the Pro
Elite & Inter-Academy program. The Academy Medals offers players an opportunity to develop
various skills with each student being tested at the beginning and end of each season. These
technical tests allow players to see improvements they have made during the season as well as
areas where development needs to be continued.
Players are invited to continue their development as part of the Junior Academy on a seasonal
basis.
