The TSF Pro Elite SAQ program focuses on enhancing movement skills, confidence, balance, coordination and injury prevention to maximize young athletes motor skill development. The program integrates innovative exercise techniques and equipment to develop critical motor skills essential to ball control in soccer. The program emphasizes movement, function, technique and form to help soccer players become faster, stronger, and more explosive.
Between the ages of 7 and 12 young athletes enter a critical stage of motor skill development. Optimal technique guidance combined with preparatory strength training provides young athletes a foundation upon which future athletic development will be optimized.
The most common serious injury to affect soccer players are injuries to the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) with as many as 250,000 reported injuries sustained each year. The ten week Pro Elite Curriculum integrates an ACL injury prevention strengthening program, proven to be effective within the prevention of such injuries.
Each 60 minute session uses age specific instruction to incorporate:
- A full dynamic warm up
- Soccer specific movement patterns
- Running mechanics
- Plyometric Training
- Multi directional speed training
- Flexibility training
