What to consider your HS Freshman year?
GPA is one of the most important parts of the freshmen year. This is the most difficult year for the student athlete as they are now in a different environment. The freshmen year is the foundation for their academic success!
You are already playing for an elite level club and receiving the training to help take your game to the next level, don’t lose sight of the importance of your grades. (Example: if you have a 1.5 GPA at the end of your freshmen year, you would have to get all A's/B's all four semester your sophomore year to bring your GPA up to a 2.0).
It is also important to keep in mind that classes such as religion, physical education and art, as an example, are not core classes and do not count towards your cumulative GPA.
