TSF Academy are pleased to announce and welcome Jamie Cleland as our new Director of Goalkeeping.  Jamie will be joining TSF Academy full-time, while continuing his role at Monmouth University from August 2020.  We are excited to welcome another fantastic addition to the club.

Jamie will be responsible for the overall development of the individual Goalkeepers and program at TSF Academy and The Sports Factory.  He will be working closely with all the Academy coaches and Directors as we continue to put together one of the strongest coaching pools in the region.

Sporting Director, John Saunders commented "We are very happy to have Jamie join our coaching staff.  We are building a fantastic coaching staff whose primary focus is on player development and creating the right environment.  Jamie matches all the values and principles we are continuing to build our club around and our goalkeepers at the club are going to gain a huge benefit from working with Jamie next season".

Jamie's soccer career began in Edinburgh, Scotland. He played for Hibernian FC and made his professional debut in the goal for Stirling Albion at the age of 16 years old. At 18, he made the decision to continue his academic and athletic career in the United States.

At the Division I level, Jamie finished his college career at Saint Peter’s University and was nationally ranked in Saves per Game and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management.  Jamie has also played in the PDL, for the SC Bantams in Columbia, South Carolina. He helped them achieve their first postseason run, making it to the semi finals.

Since graduating, Jamie has coached for multiple organizations including UK Elite, The Arsenal Soccer Schools, and Cedar Stars Academy. This experience has led him to become the Goalkeeping Coach at Monmouth University, a Division I school in the MAAC Conference.

Jamie has his United Soccer Coaches Level 3 GK License. He is currently working towards his US Soccer D License.
