TSF Academy UK Trip 2023
TSF Academy took a group of 75 players and parents on a tour to the United Kingdom from
April 6th through the 16th. The players had the opportunity to train, play games and attend
matches while on the trip. Our Academy teams had an opportunity to play against and train with the youth academies of Liverpool, Derby County, Rochdale, Shewsbury Town, Sheffield United, Flint Town, Tranmere Rovers, Blackburn Rovers, with the highlight of the trip being the 5-1 victory against Wigan Athletic by U16 MLS Next team.
The players and coaches had the opportunity to attend a number of games. They had the
privilege to watch Rochdale vs Walsall, Manchester United vs Everton, Wigan Athletic vs
Swansea City, Sheffield United vs Cardiff City and the big one Manchester City vs Bayern
Munich in the Champions League.
Academy Director Lee Leonard added… ”This experience for our players was life changing.
They had the opportunity to see what it is like to train and play in some of the best facilities in the world. They experienced the passion and dedication for the sport from the fans and players perspective. This trip will hopefully inspire and drive them towards chasing their own dreams”.
