CHECK BRACKETS VS TEAM LEVEL AND ADVISE IMMEDIATELY ISSUES TO DOO.

SEND SCHEDULES & LOGISTICS TO TEAM - KEEP TEAM UPDATED WITH ANY CHANGES

TOURNAMENT / EVENT CHECK-LIST
The Head Coach is responsible for ALL Tournament/Event communication and preparation for his/her teams.
Please communicate any changes, cancellations or issues promptly with Director of Coaching and Director of Operations so we can deal with them accordingly and professionally.
PRE-SEASON

Send Tournament Calendar to Team

Director of Coaching and Operation will send individual coaches a competition calendar for the coaches individual teams. Coaches should expect to have no more than 2 teams at any one event to help with scheduling and logistics.

Coaches are expected to coach ALL their teams games at every event.

If when sent competition calendar for your team you see any obvious conflicts and/or issues with you attending you must contact us immediately to discuss. We do not want to withdraw teams from any event.

Plan Rosters and Communicate with Team

On confirmation of competition calendar, please plan rosters accordingly for each event. For teams with large rosters, please make sure every players receives their guaranteed minimum number of events, this can be by playing with a different team within the club, or adding events (to be approved by DOC and DOO) after review.

Review Brackets / Schedule

Once tournament releases Tournament brackets - it is the head coaches responsibility to review bracket for competition level immediately and advise DOC and DOO any changes needed.

Once the schedule is released - make sure schedule is added to BYGA calendar (contact DOO to make sure event is linked up to team schedule) and all information (location, game schedule etc.) is sent to the team the day the schedule is released.

If you have multiple teams, check to see if there are any issues with schedule conflicts that prevent you from coaching all your teams games. You are responsible for flagging up these issues immediately, contact DOO to request any necessary changes with event.

DOO will then work through schedules to provide any coaching assistance, coverage etc. necessary.

Travel / Hotels

The club will provide hotels/accommodation for coaching staff based on location/schedules of each event.

If you require a hotel stay for any event, please request directly with DOO at least 4-6 weeks prior to scheduled event.
